Call for Proposals

The Environmental Design Research Association (EDRA) invites practitioners, researchers, and educators to submit their proposals and join the 55th annual conference on the theme Environment and Health.

The EDRA55 Portland, Oregon Conference Committee invites you to submit your work and participate in the 2024 conference. As you plan for submission, please read the full Call for Proposals.

Submission Process

To begin a submission, click on the 'Begin a Submission' button under the submission type. You will be directed to EDRA where you will either:
Log in with your existing EDRA membership account
OR
Log in by creating a NEW member or non-member account

Once you have logged in/created a new account you will be redirected to this page where you may start a submission by selecting a submission type below.

If you know you have an existing account, please use that account to avoid duplicate accounts that might prevent you from accessing your submission.

We recognize that EDRA is home to a broad and diverse range of work and welcome submissions from across all disciplines and professions to represent the full variety of issues that are encompassed by environmental design research.

  • Due date for the following submissions: Intensives, Paper Abstracts, Individual Presentations and Group Presentations.
  • Notification of acceptance for peer reviewed proposals expected Mid-March 2024.
January 29, 2024
  • Due date for Visual Presentations including abstracts for Posters, Digital Media Short.
  • Early Bird registration opens.
February 23, 2024
  • Due date for Graduate Student Mentoring Workshop submissions.
  • Posters of Work In Progress and Researcher/Practitioner Storytelling proposals due.
  • Notification of acceptance for Work in Progress and Practitioner/Researcher Storytelling expected Early March 2024.
  • Notification of acceptance for Graduate Student Mentoring Workshop expected Early March 2024.
April 8, 2024
  • Early Bird registration ends 11:59PM EST.
  • Due date for ALL conference presenters to register for the conference. A minimum of one author of each accepted session is required to be part of the EDRA55 program. Presenters do not have to be EDRA members, however, there is a reduced registration fee for members.
  • Due date for revisions of Full-papers, abstracts, individual, and group submissions.
