Thank you for your interest in submitting to the 2026 EDRA Great Places Award. Now in its 28th year, EDRA's Great Places Awards seek to recognize work that combines expertise in design, research, and practice and contributes to the creation of dynamic, humane places that engage our attention and imagination.

Award-winning projects reflect an interdisciplinary approach that is enduring, human-centered, sustainable, and concerned with the experiential relationship between people and their environment (built or natural) over time.

The 2026 GPA Awards Jury members will be announced in January 2026.

SUBMISSION TYPES:

The Great Places Awards have five (5) submission types:

4. 4. Place Planning
5. 5. Place Research

All submissions for the 2026 EDRA Great Places Award must be electronically submitted by 11:59 pm EST Thursday, February 19, 2026. No late submissions will be accepted. Your submission will not be considered if the application fee has not been received by the deadline date.

APPLICATION FEE:

• Members: $325
• Non-members: $400
• Discounts are available if you are a student or early-career researcher (within five years post-graduation of your degree), as well as if the organization submitting is a community-based organization, non-profit, or a woman or minority-owned business. Only one discount is applicable per application.
• Note: Applicants from countries with comparable economic conditions are encouraged to contact the EDRA Headquarters for further information.
